Stopping psychiatric drugs can be as dangerous as starting them. It's important to taper off psychiatric drugs carefully and with support. we urge readers to read Dr. Peter Breggin's book Psychiatric Drug Withdrawal and share it with your therapist and other support persons. Dr. Breggin provides a host of valuable information about why to avoid psychiatric drugs, adverse effects from them, how to carefully withdraw from the drugs, gathering support for the withdrawal journey, and answers to various issues that may come up during the withdrawal process.

Truth!!! When I detox from my antidepressant, xanex and ambien I was an absolute mess, but God helped me get through it. At one point it only concerned me when my blood pressure went up so I went to the hospital and they wrote down in my chart that I was manic. Ahhhh no I was detoxing and stated that! Once you’re diagnosed with that and yes it was a false diagnosis. I actually brought it up to the psychiatrist because I was an idiot in my 30s and I just wanted help. It never goes away that diagnosis. It’s been almost 6 years, I’ve never felt better!!! Getting back with Jesus Christ. What’s the best thing I ever did and throwing that junk out!! Not needed, never was!

Thank you for all that you do and have done to help me years ago but I just listening to you on YouTube and I bought your book! Much love . May God bless you and keep you safe Dr 💝
