A few decades ago, after complaining of a few common issues related to autism I wanted to try to overcome with perhaps counseling and maybe diet change, which I never complained about or needed medication for in the past, such as over-sensory perceptions that will cause nausea and headaches, like strong orders and bright artificial lights in department stores or mall, passing by candle shops, walking down light fixture isles with whirling ceiling fans in conjunction with all the other orders from people’s perfume & cologne and all the extreme sounds and intercom noise, etc… I was put on Zoloft, then Paxil, then Luvox, then a couple others, one week after another, then gave up. Holy hell the side effects were maddening-terrifying. Honestly, if those meds create what’s supposed to be “normal,” I’d much rather be abnormal, forever.
