with much regret, I fear that a return to what America used to be is impossible, according to the following reasoning. As pastor Matt Trewhella from Wisconsin has so correctly assessed, America began as a nation that feared and respected God and his commandments. In the former days, marriage was the union of one man and one woman for life, divorce was highly rejected, righteousness was highly revered and followed, and the US Constitution was respected and the basis for all law in the land. Then we were seduced by Hollywood and their lasciviousness and divorces, then we submitte3d to a matriarchal society and men were diminished from their roles, then we legalized homosexuality, then we married homosexuals, now we question the existence of two genders, while all along clever lawyers and corrupt judges watered down true justice, and we trusted and elected criminals to government positions. We continue to re-elect those criminals and believe in words such as Republican, Democrat, and such.
We, as a nation of people have changed, as is obvious by the divisions that exist among us, and cannot simply pass laws, convict some perpetrators of mass crimes and return to what used to be. We, as a people are not what we used to be. Unless we return to our roots, no version of legal machinations will change the trend in which we are headed.

But there are other possible outcomes too. I don’t see them clearly, but I refuse to just handover the keys of my country to these country thieves the global predators. Yes, none of us can see the future or guess what will be, but history does indicate a pattern of cause and effect. In the Old Testament we are told clearly how God decided to punish Judah or any nation and is specific regarding particular behaviors that God abhorred. An example is found in 2kings 24:1-4. People think that this is old history or mythology that will not happen again, yet the same God continues to control the forces of the Universe. If America and the world descend into the worst levels of famine, anarchy, brutal control, illness and death it is not for unknown reasons. Anyone who has some familiarity with the Bible can see an inevitability, unless all of humanity somehow awakens and decides to live righteously, giving the Creator his sovereign position in the societies of men. But we can probably agree that the behavior of humanity at this moment in time cannot possibly avert the usual consequences.
