About vaccines always having been somewhat dangerous: in the 18th and 19th centuries people had their children innoculated for smallpox with some apprehension, as a notable % did die in consequence, but they thought the risk worth it as smallpox was greatly feared, even among the well-nourished and housed rich.
But by the 21st century, I would bet that few were aware of the deaths and harms caused annually by vaccination, as the brain-washing by - and of - the medical profession has convinced everyone including medics themselves that they are miraculous and completely safe.
Vaccines are presented as being as being as unquestionably wholesome as a nice fresh apple, with never a worm in them. And of course as the only option.
