Thank you Dr. Breggin and Ginger. I have already described my own personal experience at the hands of NHS psychiatrists in 1990 after a yachting accident in September 1990 in another thread.

I was diagnosed manic depressive in November 1990, hospitalised and only 'escaped' two weeks later after a skipper friend extracted me under the cover of darkness when the medics were preparing to 'section me'. This was in Bath, Somerset, the Lansdowne psychiatric ward.

I spent five years on Lithium but I won't go into the details. I kicked it in 1995 so I do have a storey to tell. It was only when i read your wonderful book in 2021 that I realised Risperdal was equally toxic as Lithium. I kicked it immediately and I am now back to my normal 'mad' self.

Thank you so much for sharing your wisdom which actually saved my life.
